CAI as an organization is committed to education. Education directed to the needs and interests of Business Partners is inherently included in the mission of the Business Partner Council. The goal is to provide useful marketing and networking tips for various business situations or interesting speakers to share their insight and success stories.
The vision of the Business Partner Council is to Rewrite the Stars and show Business Partners that our diverse business backgrounds and expertise are rich with possibility in adding value to both CAI Illinois and our businesses if we partner with each other.
The Business Partner Council seeks to change outdated narratives and perceptions about fierce competition and fighting off lions in the ring. Business Partners are professional and dedicated experts committed to their work with community associations. Each CAI event attended is an opportunity to connect with others to facilitate business opportunities and expand your knowledge of the community association industry. Yes, it’s even possible when the number of Business Partners attendees exceeds homeowners and managers combined. By connecting with fellow Business Partners

savvy in working with community associations, you build your own network of trusted professionals. The more you get to know them, the more confidently you can refer them. This will only serve to enhance and solidify your own role as the trusted advisor to the associations you work with through the qualified referrals you provide. Like the song “Rewrite the Stars” tells us “it’s up to you, and it’s up to me, no one can say what we get to be.” Business Partners can discover how to become power partners within The Greatest Show we are part of, CAI Illinois, through intentional conversations with fellow Business Partners.
We are better together, regardless of whether our businesses are vastly different or a mirror image. The CAI Illinois Magazine Committee is led by co-chairs, both in banking. Our own Business Partner Council is comprised of an HVAC/mechanical services expert, a banking executive/professor of manager education, a landscaping executive, an expert in coordinating capital improvement projects for associations, and co-chairs that work for 2 different insurance firms. We have all come together to “say it’s possible” and ask our CAI Illinois Business Partners, “Why don’t we rewrite the stars?” Working together will make us all better in our crafts.
