and cooperation with volunteer leaders. This is necessary in order to maintain and facilitate not only a mutual understanding but also a close working relationship, acting as a resource for committee leaders. Semi-annually the board hosts the Committee Chairs Meetings, a time when the chapter leaders come together as a group to collaborate, exchange ideas and feedback, set goals and support one another.

The agenda of the Fall 2024 Committee Chairs Meeting was especially exciting as the leadership came together to review the chapter’s Strategic Plan. Every two years, the CAI Illinois Board of Directors reviews and updates the goals and objectives for the chapter, with valuable input from the committees. The Illinois Chapter is growing rapidly and it is crucial we monitor and adjust our strategic thinking to meet and exceed the needs of our evolving membership.


The Committee Chairs meeting room was full of energy and wild with ideas that the group shares and shapes into the programming and events we think will best suit our members.
