2024 FEDA Annual Executive Leadership Conference


NETWORKING EVENTS


The FEDA Annual Executive Leadership Conference has long been known as one of the best ways for foodservice industry professionals to connect with their peers across the industry, but this year’s gathering introduced several new events designed to help spark conversation and cement business relationships. The week kicked off with the Cheyenne Mountain Golf Tournament, which was won by the team of Jameel Burkett, Evan Priesel, Dustin Bennett, and Matt Weber. Everyone got another chance to show off their golf skills later in the week at Putting and Pours, a whiskey tasting and putting challenge. The laid-back contest proved to be one of the most popular draws, with dozens of attendees packing the Cheyenne Mountain Golf Course’s massive practice green to tackle a makeshift putting course. Meanwhile, those who preferred to work up more of a sweat formed doubles teams and competed in a Pickleball Networking tournament at the resort’s fitness center.


Those networking events helped


conference attendees loosen up and form new bonds, but the real showstopper was the first-ever FEDA Basketball Showcase. Featuring two teams coached by Eric Chaplick, Boelter’s senior director of design, and Dave Stafford, president and CEO of Stafford-Smith, players brought the same competitive intensity that makes them successful business leaders to the full-sized outdoor court. With classic sports jams playing over the speakers and an energetic crowd to cheer the players on, the basketball game was truly one of the social highlights of the conference.
