eing the chairman of Inter-Church Relations for the ARP General Synod affords me some unique opportunities to be present for historical moments in the life of Christ’s church. They serve the same gospel in the promise of Jesus with the hope born of love as to the goodness of His truth. Mexico, motivated towards the ARP by N.E. Presbytery. The Canadian Presbytery, now Synod, was formed as its own body in 2004, growing out of Northeast Presby- tery, after its initial foray into the ARP back in the late 1980s. A key name to know in the history of the Canadian Synod is Jack Whytock. At a meeting of the Northeast Presbytery in 1989, the Mt. Zion congregation of Moncton, New Brunswick, was welcomed into the ARP as a mission congregation, and soon after Rev. Dr. Whytock was elected as their pastor. Those who have been around the ARP Synod since the 90s will remember the blessed contributions of Dr. Whytock to our communion and his efforts to see the gospel grow in Canada, and through his service in World Witness with the old MT3 team. -

Tireless workers on various Synod committees and a gift to World Witness, Outreach North America, and other agencies of the denomination. Two of their men, one an elder and another a minister, Bill McKay and Jeff Kingswood respectively, have even served as Synod moderators. The expectation is that with the formation of the new Canadian ARP that we might be closer together than ever before as the Lord blesses our two communions. Space is hardly available to testify to all the ways our Canadian family has left their mark on the future of the ARP. We love them dearly and while like a parent seeing a child go off to college we know that God has amazing things in store as He grows His kingdom in love and grace.
