Camps and Conferences

It was a fantastic summer at Bonclarken 2025: Looking ahead to the summer of 2026 camps and conferences

By Trip McGill H

ere we are again! Another summer has come and gone and it’s time again to turn our thoughts, prayer and planning towards the summer of 2026 for our Bonclarken Camps and Conferences. In order to look ahead, we absolutely must give thanks for the summer of 2025. Here are a few highlights of this past summer:

• At the Bonclarken Music Drama Camp where we worked on and performed the musical, “Good News from A Grave” about God giving his son to die for us on the cross and His Resurrection.

We also had lots of fun, fellowship and a wonderful experience of worship and music at the Sacred Music Concert/Worship on Friday Night, as we celebrated the Easter Theme: In Christ Alone. What a glorious night of music and worship.

• Camp Bonclarken experienced the largest numbers of campers on record. Our campers attentively listened and learned as we studied on the theme, He is Risen! We learned so much about serving a Risen Christ and his Amazing Grace. We were certainly blessed with some of the best young people that I know anywhere as Counselors in Training and Counselors. We have a dedicated Senior Staff who love our children and serve so faithfully.

• We are thankful for Chip Sherer and his leadership at Bonclarken. • The summer staff at Bonclarken served in recreation, guest services, nibble nook, food services, and all other areas. We were so glad to have so many Erskine College students serve on our recreation staff.

• Bonclarken permanent staff was and is so supportive of all of our pro-

• Camp Bonclarken, once again delivered over 290 Operation Christmas Child boxes and over $2000 to help with the delivery of these boxes to countries all over the world! We are thrilled to participate and help our children and staff learn how we can all give of ourselves through this awe some mission project each summer and share the love of Jesus with children around the world.

We are very thankful camp people who are so abundantly blessed to have this opportunity to serve our denomination at these camps and conferences each summer!
