Tammy Castillo has led a storied
30-year career in the building and construction trades, working in various capacities at Local 3 where she serves as Director of Appren- ticeship. Castillo is an advocate for women and minorities in the building and construction trades, serving on numerous committees and panels promoting women in construction. She is currently a member of the Western Apprenticeship Coordi- nators Association and the California Apprenticeship Coordinators Association.

small contractors in the construction Industry. Brown founded CPM in 2013, following her role as Program Manager for AECOM in San Francisco and bond Program Manager in Southern Louisiana overseeing Hurricane Katrina rebuild efforts. She has since earned a reputation as a respected member of the transportation industry, bringing about significant change in California in a very short amount of time.

Darrin Lambrigger, P.E., CCM,
is the Director of the Construction Management Division at the Port of Long Beach where he oversees the
construction phase of the Port’s $4 billion-plus capital improvement program, the biggest marine port construction program in the nation. Prior to joining the Port staff, he was a consultant working on the Port’s Pier G Administration and Opera- tions Building project. He also worked on projects with Parson Brinkerhoff, Coronado Unified School District, Huntington Beach City School District, and Pacifica Services, Inc.

SPECIALTY CONTRACTOR ACHIEVEMENT AWARD John Gutierrez, Griffith Company
John Gutierrez has worked in the
construction industry for 15 years after retiring from the U.S. Navy where he served 21 years active duty. He started at Marina Landscape where he worked as an estimator and in business devel- opment, then later moved to Griffith Company to continue to expand his knowledge and understanding of the industry. Gutierrez has served on several boards and committees with AGC, most notably as Chair of the Specialty Contractors Council from 2016 to 2018.
