In his new role as Region 2 Representative, Richard is most looking forward to exchanging ideas with national leadership, regional leadership, and liturgical musicians in the region to support and strengthen sung liturgy. He also looks forward to becoming a person that has NPM answers—or more likely can get them—for all in the region. Te biggest challenges that Richard sees are “to reinvigorate some chapters that may need a boost of energy” and “to get the word out to areas without a chapter that belonging to NPM provides great support, collegiality, and resources to all those who serve at worship.”
Richard thanks God for the many blessings which allow him to continue in ministry. He says, “I am so grateful for my Parish Life Coordinator who absolutely understands our mission to grow disciples and sees and supports music as an essential vehicle to do that.” He is also grateful for the dedication of the music ministers in his parish who “feed the spiritual life of our congregation, as well as mine.” Richard is thankful, too, to his fellow NPM Chapter officers who make the planning and work of the chapter such a joy.
