Recent Promotions, Hires and Retirements at FEDA Member Companies
The fall 2022 issue of FEDA News & Views contained an error on page 12 in the article “The Painful Wait for Tariff Reform,” by Bridget McCrea. The article incorrectly indicated that all manufacturers, including foodservice equipment and supplies manufacturers, can apply directly for exclusions to Section 232 steel tariffs. However, product exclusions must be fi led with the importer of record information for review and approval. Foodservice equipment and supplies manufacturers typically do not hold imports directly, but rather rely on service centers for imported products. As such, manufacturers do not have the necessary information to make an exclusion request. FEDA regrets the error.
