SPR’ GARDEN ROSE Alexandra Farms ‘Princess Fairy Kiss Spr’s’ pastel pink coloring on rounded cups of frilly petals lends itself to arrangements celebrating the birth of a girl and weddings, the judges agreed. Because it’s a Japanese spray rose, “it doesn’t have that exact same look people see all the time,” McShan said. Callister pointed out that the stems come loaded with blooms. “I cannot believe the density of the blooms in the vase,” she said. “It’s just gorgeous.”


‘DARLINGTON’ GARDEN ROSE Eufloria Flowers ‘Darlington’s’ smaller bloom size and blush to cream coloring provides florists an alternative to larger garden roses. “It’s a smaller headed rose, which is nice when you do event work and wedding work and clients want something smaller for personal flowers, but want that same look throughout the event,” McShan said. Callister was impressed with how consistently the blooms unfurled.


‘PARADISE BEACH’ GARDEN ROSE Eufloria Flowers “‘Paradise Beach’ gives you some color without being overpowering,” McShan said, which appeals to clients who don’t want pure white or ivory and are turned off by a true pink. Callister has a customer who orders the variety every week for wedding work. “The reason is because it blends with every peach that there is in the world,” she said. And while garden roses are commonly used for wedding and event work, McShan believes this variety has potential for more uses. “I could also see this in just normal arrangements,” she said.
