One coach Carter Holloway will never forget was his high school head coach, Ryan Nesbitt.


“He was a coach that was hard on you when needed and nice when needed,” Holloway stated. “He was a coach that you could’ve made the biggest mistake in a game and lost because of it, but if you needed him that next day, he would be there. You never knew if you were on his good side during the season, and that’s what I liked. He treated his players equally and with respect. He was a great coach and learned my dedication to the sport from him.”


Throughout his time playing football, Holloway has learned many more lessons than he could imagine. “It taught me how to get better every day; it taught me how to handle challenges I face,” Holloway said. “Football also gave me connections to people all over the states and people that I can go to if ever in need.”  year at the university, Holloway shared the legacy he hopes to leave behind after graduating. “I hope I leave a legacy kids can look up to one that freshmen come in and strive to meet and exceed the standards and ac- complishments I have received,” Holloway said. “I hope that the football team keeps making strides forward after I graduate.”  school coach and teacher.
