In his high school athletic career, Corbin has earned 2x all-con- ference, 2x all-district, and academic all-conference in football. In track, he has earned all-conference, all-district, conference cham- pion, district champion, all-state, academic all-state, and state medalist. But where does athletic success come from for Corbin? That was an easy answer. “I say all glory to God because both of my parents did not play any sports, and I picked up weight lifting and sports from a drive of wanting to challenge myself,” he tells us.

Anytime he feels down or tired from his schedule, he always falls back on that. Through the good and bad of sports and leaning on his sounds simple, but learning to do things you do not want to do while also helping others who feel the same way is a great life skill,” he says. His drive to compete and work hard goes hand in hand with that mindset. “I want to be a better athlete to help support my team and also to play football at the next level,” he shared. But there is works hard and accomplishes goals while playing football, though, he can feel it boost his assurance. With each rep, Corbin silences cause of that, he never gives up… not that Coach Tim Rulo would ever let him, anyway. best that anyone could ever ask for. He told us that Coach Rulo will send him drill videos, meet with him outside of practice, and just a football coach. “He has truly helped me through the toughest battles and led me closer to Jesus in my own storms. And he would do that for anyone,” Corbin said. He hopes that one day he can be- wisdom and courage that his coach does.

ing his younger brother, Lyric, who is a sophomore at RHS. Corbin said, “I'm so happy I have gotten him to join me in playing sports. Seeing his growth truly makes me happier than my own accom- plishments.” Spoken like a true leader, in our opinion. As he prepares to pursue college football and earn a degree in psychology, Corbin is determined to keep challenging himself while helping others do the same. Given his passion for encouraging oth- ers, his desire to lead by example, and the faith that has guided him through every challenge, there is no doubt that he will make an
