Rinks, Coaches & Skaters Soar with ISI and U.S. Figure Skating Programs Under One Roof

THE Sky’s THE by Lisa Paul A

S PART OF the coaching staff at an ISI rink, you have the benefit of introducing skaters

to an enduring and proven method of skating progression in an encouraging, recreational environment. Te classes are designed to take skaters from marching on the ice during their first session to becoming exceptional athletes achieving success with Freestyle 10.

Along their journey, beginning skaters will be happy learning new skills, passing

tests and making friends. Perhaps the excitement of costumes, spotlights and an audience with the annual ice show will become their favorite time of the year. Other skaters may prefer working on their solo and compulsory events, performing in spotlight and footwork events and/or participating in team events that provide support and camaraderie. There are countless avenues ISI skaters can travel, providing success for themselves and the rinks they call home.

Some skaters see highlights from U.S.

Figure Skating Championships, Worlds and the Olympics and wonder if they, too, can be a part of that skating world someday. Trained coaches who are knowledgeable about both ISI and U.S. Figure Skating programs are prepared to take their skaters in any direction the skaters choose.
