to access your skaters’ information again, and you will not get emails from Entryeeze pertaining to your skaters’ schedules. Tis is because ISI uses its own scheduling module called the EDGE.

Entryeeze

At this time, the EDGE and Entryeeze do not integrate the scheduling — while that may change in the future, for now, all event information will be posted on the ISI website or emailed directly to both coaches and skaters. When we set up a coach email distribution list for a competition, the email address associated with your ISI number in our database will be used. If that email is not one that you check or use anymore, you will not receive the information. Also, if you have ever opted out of ISI emails or if your email has a particularly sensitive spam filter, you may also not get those emails. To be sure that everyone has access to the information, we post it on our website under the event and list it as coach/judge information. You will want to always be sure to check that area of the website to stay up to date on deadlines.

Judge and Coach Credentials

All coaches planning to attend a national event and put skaters on the ice must be current ISI Professional members. All coaches not judging at the event will have to purchase coach credentials. In order to judge, a coach must have at least taken a Bronze certification test; if that test was taken prior to August 1 of a rule change year (even years), the coach must take and pass an update test to validate the certification.

While some local events may allow you

to select judging assignment per event, at national competitions we ask you to select groups of events called panels. While we understand that volunteering your time at a competition is sometimes difficult, judge panels are general fairly short, lasting about an hour each. It is important to note that coaches must have either a judge or coach credential to access the gate area and the hospitality room at an ISI national event.

We have been using our Judging on

Tablet (JOT) system at most national events for several years now. Tis is a much more convenient way of tabulating

and getting scores to skaters quickly. From the judge’s perspective, judging is done the same as on paper and in fact, a paper judge sheet is still printed for every event. Te scores are simply sent in electronically once they are established. Te real benefit of the JOT system is in the accounting and posting function for the event.
