ThePOAboardseeksyearlytoaddfreshfacestotheirstanding commieesconcernedwitharchitectureanddesign,artsand entertainment,internalcommunityliaison,documents, elecons,externalliaisonwithlocalcivicorganizaons,facilies andengineering,nanceandbudget,theFitnessCenter,the GreenTaskForceforenergyconservaon,landscape beaucaon,"TheVoice"quarterlynewsleerandthe welcomeprogramfornewresidents. Threeveryacvecommiees,withongoingplansforthe educaonandwelfareofallresidentsandownerscanbe examinedingreaterdetail. 


WELCOME COMMITTEE TheprimaryfocusoftheWelcomeCommieeistoacquaint newcomerswiththeameniesandacviesattheirnewhome. Volunteers,workingcloselywithPOAmanagementandsta, visitapproximatelyseventyhouseholdsperyear,distribung packetsofkeyinformaon,nsofcookiesandfriendly greengs. 


Conversaonswithnewresidentsindicatetheirparcular interestsandrecommendaonsaremadeaboutclubsfor playersofbridge,canasta,chessandmahjong,aswellas opportuniesforbookdiscussions,yoga,wateraerobicsand otherexerciseacvies,singingandcelebraonofholidays. TheyarealsointroducedtotheCenterCityConcernedCizens, whose"Review"publicaonandweeklymeengsinform residentsaboutpolical,socialandeconomicissuesand encourageposiveacontoeectchange. 


Acompletetourofthebuildingisoered,includingindoorand outdoorpoolsandtnessfacilies,thelibrary,laundry,artand socialroomsusedforshowinglmsfourmesaweekandmany otherevents,andthefullarrayofbusinessesandprofessional services. 
