HeritageCreekwasestablishedin 2000inBucksCounty,PAasan acve55+communityconsisngof 402singlefamilyhomesand115 condominiumunits.Allconstrucon wascompletedin2004,andthe builderwasrelievedofmanagement duesandcontrolwasgiventothe residents.Manyofthenew “Creekers”ledbyoneindividual, organizedcommieesandbecame acvelyinvolvedinvolunteering theirtalentsandservices,andthe communitybecameasourceofenvy intheMidAtlancregion. 


TodayHeritageCreekhasover350 volunteersperformingtaskson variouscommieesthathelptokeep monthlyassessmentsataminimum: Architectural,(reviewingand approvingresidentproposed improvements);Events(planningand implemenngvarioussocial funconsthatappealtomany interests);FrontDesk(performing welcomingandinformaontasks); Facilies(overseeingand implemenngimprovementstothe MarquisClubhouse);Healthand Wellness(providingavarietyof classestoimprovephysicaland mentalcapabilies);BlockCaptains (residentsfromeachstreetwho overseeandlistentoresident concernsaboutsnowremovaland lawncare);Finance(thegroupof

residentswhokeeptrackofcashow, investments,etc.);MarqSocial (overseesupkeepoftheLibrary, Sports,andGames;Newsleer CreekwoodPress(providesallthe communitynewsthatisnewsworthy andisselfsustainingbecauseof adversements);Property Management,(overseeingcommon andresidentproperestomakesure therearenoproblems);Garden (maintainingcommonplanngareas); Pools(makingsuretheindoorand outdoorpoolareasarekeptcleanand safe);Ponds,(maintainingthehealth ofourretenonbasins)Government Relaons,(keepingourresidents informedoflocalgovernment acviesandissues)Travel(oering residentsvariedandinteresng adventures).Alloftheabove commieesexistbecauseofthe residentvolunteerswhoare members. 


Althoughtheclubsdonotoperate undertheaegisoftheboard,they oertheopportunityforresidentsto dootherfunthingsandexistbecause ofresidentinterest.Someoftheclubs areItalianCultureClub,Jewish HeritageClub,OktoberfestClub, Men’sClub,threeChaptersofthe internaonalQuestersOrganizaon,a 35memberchorusthatholdsa concerteachyear,IndoorPool Volleyball,Photography,Railroad,and


fourBookClubs.“Creekers”also enjoyMahjong,Bridge,Canasta, Poker,Domino’s,WaterVolleyball, Golf,Bowling,Tennis,Pickleball,and Bocce.Alltheseacvieskeep residentsbusyenjoyingtheiracve lifestylewithouthavingtogooutside thecommunity. 


Asthecommunitygrew,somepeople movedorpassedaway,andothers werenolongerinterested.We realizedthatitwasimportantto connuallytrytogenerateinterest andrecruitnewresidentsforthe variouscommiees.Thesoluonwas toformanewcommieecalled Community Pride.Thiscommiee consistsofthreesubcommiees Welcome,NeighbortoNeighbor,and CommunitySupportwithan approximatetotalof125members. 


TheWelcome Commiee,composed ofbothindividualhomeownersand condominiumowners,isresponsible forvisingnewresidents,talkingto themaboutthecommunity,and givingeachagipackagethat consistsofaHeritageCreek automobilevanityplateandvarious gicercatesforlocalrestaurants. Welcomeambassadorsexplainthe commiees,clubs,andacviesand providethenamesofpeoplewhom theycancontact.Mostimportant thegreetersencouragenewresidents
