Cal Poly - SLO Educator Wins AGC ‘Friend’ Award Paul Weber, professor at California Polytechnic State University – San Luis Obispo,


received the 2017 AGC Construction Education Friend Award. Weber has dedicated the last 18 years of his professional career to teaching, mentoring


and advising aspiring construction professionals at Cal Poly. He serves as Cal Poly AGC Student Chapter Faculty Advisor. Before he began teaching Weber double majored in construction engineering and architecture at Cal Poly and then pursued a career leading a successful home building enterprise. He obtained an MBA from Cal Poly and then a Ph.D. from Colorado State in 2000 before joining the staff of Cal Poly SLO. Weber has steered the Cal Poly AGC


student chapter to strong growth and involvement over the last few years, and he is recognized and valued mentor to many students in the program. 
