Index 38 WM. H. Dunlap Orphanage, Inc. The William H. Dunlap Orphanage, a ministry of the ARP Church, has been providing care for children since 1905. The Dunlap Board did not have recommendations therefore their report was as information. The report did include the following: 1. Interest in the Adoption Assistance Fund of the ARP Church (formerly Dunlap Adoption Assistance Fund) contin-

ues to grow and give visibility to adoption and pro-life awareness via church-level events and board-developed materi- als made available to churches for the ARP Adoption Sunday in concert with Adoption and Orphan Awareness Month, which receives with appreciation monthly support from Christ Presbyterian Church (PCA) in New Braunfels, TX. All ARP congregations are encouraged to participate in this program as a vital ministry and practical statement of the de- nomination’s stance on the value of human life. 2. The generosity of individual donors makes grants possible from the Dunlap Orphanage Funds and the Adoption Assistance Fund. Dunlap Orphanage was established by the ARP Foundation, which continues to facilitate gifts of assets and bequests. Interested individuals are encouraged to consider making gifts of assets and assigning such funds as ben- eficiaries in their will or trust.

Motion (Amended Recommendation 12) That Synod allow the Committee on Nominations to fill open slots, except unexpired terms of Erskine Board, until next year’s Synod when they could be ratified along with the approved nominees by the 2021 Committee on Nominations.

The Executive Board express their appreciation for the many faithful years of service offered by Ron Beard (Principal Clerk), Chip Smith (Treasurer), Leland Beaudrot (Bill Clerk), and Edith Brawley (Archivist) and whose labors have so richly blessed the Synod and her ministries.

Chip Smith, Treasurer, 28 years of service.

Motion The Moderator will form a committee to look into how we handle the 2021 dissemination of the Synod Packets and Minutes of Synod. A report will be presented to the Executive Board.

There was discussion for Moderator Committees to meet ahead of the October Synod meeting but with the logistics it was suggested that they meet when Synod is scheduled. The Moderator will work on an official agenda which will be com- municated to the denomination in due time. The meeting adjourned at 11:50am.?
