Reflections on a Wonderful Summer A look ahead to the summer of 2022 camps and conferences

By Trip McGill C

oming back from Covid was an incredible time together this past sum- mer. We are truly thankful for all of the activities and events we were able to have. Our list of things for which we are very thankful includes:

• A great Bonclarken Music Drama Camp where we worked on and performed the musical “Cross Country” taught us that we have to set our focus on Christ as we move through the course of our daily lives.

• Camp Bonclarken experienced large numbers of campers who learned about the nature of God: God is our Creator, Protector, Provider, Savior, and King! We also have an incredible staff, group of cabin counselors, and Counselors in Training led with incredible strength and passion for lead- ing the children to learn about Christ.

• We are thankful for Chip Sherer and his leadership at Bonclarken. • The summer staff at Bonclarken served in recreation, guest services, nibble nook, food services, and other areas.

• Camp Bonclarken delivered over 350 Operation Christmas Child boxes and over $1800 to help deliver these boxes to countries all over the world! We are thrilled to participate and help our children and staff learn how we can all give of ourselves through this awesome mission project each summer and share the love of Jesus with children around the world.

We are very thankful camp people who are so abundantly blessed to have this opportunity to serve our denomination at these camps and conferences each summer!

A Fruitful Life: Fruit of the Spirit. When campers come to Bonclarken Music Drama Camp, they will study and perform the musical Esther-Ordinary Faith. At Camp Bonclarken, we will focus our theme around God’s faithfulness to his people throughout the generations, as we correlate our theme with the celebra- tion of Bonclarken’s 100th Anniversary!
