Women’s Ministries
a prayer-by-letter-writing ministry is revived. It could be as simple as drawing attention to the opportunities for corporate prayer already provided by your church. However you choose to observe it, we hope that a Prayer Emphasis program can be a time for the women in your church to encourage one another toward the regular practice of corporate and personal prayer. Below is an example of a prayer program that you can adapt as needed for private or public use. May we be women of prayer!
Opening Prayer: Thank God for the access we have to Him in prayer and for the exhortation of Scripture to bring everything to Him in prayer (Hebrews 4:16, Philippians 4:6). Hymns: “Sweet Hour of Prayer”, “Where High the Heavenly Temple Stands”
Read James 5:13-18, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Pray for: and ministries.
Read Ephesians 6:10-18, 1 Timothy 2:1-4 Pray for: the witness of the Church in the world, missionaries supported by your church and/or the de- nomination, your local, state, and national leaders.
Read Romans 11:33-36 Pray:
Pray for: anyone or anything the Lord has laid on your heart. Read: Psalm 121 Sing: “What a Friend We Have in Jesus”

into the present-day Women’s Ministries, we still provide a Christmas “bonus” to retired missionaries and celebrate the Jubilee Birthday. The Jubilee Birthday is an event to raise money for the partial support of two ladies who are missionaries. At the present time our Jubilee Birthday ladies are Rebekah Carson and Shelia Osborne. By supporting missionaries, with our prayers and money, we are helping to “spread the joy” in foreign countries. I have seen Jubilee Birthday celebrated in many ways. In the early days, church members were asked to contribute a penny for every year that they had

Because of covid restrictions, cupcakes were served at the end of a recent program to celebrate the “birthday”. needed supplies to a battered women’s shelter, helping to stock a Crisis assistance facility with food for those in need, the possibilities are endless! Showing that you care for the needs of others can bring them joy and increase your joy.
As Christians, we know that God loves us and that by believing that Jesus came into this world as a baby
and grew up as a man and died for us on the cross to pay the price for our sins, we are blessed and should During the holiday season, and especially at Christmas, it is important to remember why we are celebrating and what we are celebrating. God gave us a wonderful gift that we did not deserve, He gave us His only son Jesus—because God loves us uncondition- ally! We should be joyful that we have received this gift but should enjoy it and celebrate it, not just at Christmas but all through the year! And, because God Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas, and a Joyful 2022!
