We all have ideas. Some are great, and some, well, not as great. Some like things this way, and some like it that way.

I am happy to do things this way or that way, but I know in the end, it is God’s way.
Proverbs 16:9 reads, “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”
This has not been an easy year. The Restructuring Com- mittee was formed and tasked with examining the present organizational structure of the denomination. The Retire- ment Crisis Fund has been charged with researching how we reached this position in the retirement plan. The ARP and the desire for a different type of plan.
There are a lot of transitions, shifting, and healthy conver- sations happening in the denomination. God is at work in the ARP Church. While we may not know the reasons for doing things this way or that way, I am encouraged to know that God does.
Please take time to pray for the denomination. Pray for those in leadership roles at your church and on the Synod level. Pray for your pastor. Pray for your congregation. Pray for your neighbor.
