AVMA Launches Partnership with Louisville’s Central High Magnet Career Academy
The AVMA is proud to have launched a partnership with Cen-
tral High Magnet Career Academy in Louisville, Kentucky earlier this week and are delighted that over 60+ veterinary science high school stu- dents attended and participated in a 90-minute session focused on careers in veterinary medicine and hands-on activities. Our hope is this initiative will expand opportunities for all stu- dents interested in pursuing a career in the field.
Representing the AVMA at the launch event were AVMA Chief DEI Officer Dr. Latonia Craig, AVMA Vice Presi- dent Dr. Jennifer Quammen, AVMA Trust veterinarian Dr. Rebecca Stin- son and AVMA Assistant Director of Veterinary Career Services Aman- da Fark. We are also grateful to have been joined by KVMA President, Dr. Brigette Dean-Hines, owner/veteri- narian at Derby City Mobile Veteri- nary Services, LLC, and a key figure of the day.
