IT’S WHITE COAT TIME!


Present for LMU CVM’s White Coat Ceremony were (l-r) LMU CVM Associate Dean of Career Services & Professional Development Dr. Randall Evans, KVMA Past President Dr. Jason Rodgers, Kentucky students Cassandra Hawk, Alexandra Gregory, and Lauren Compton, and KVMA Executive Director Debra Hamelback.





Te class of 2026 received their white coats on January 20, 2023. Te ceremony was held in the Tex Turner Arena located in Harrogate, Tennessee with students, friends, family and dignitaries in atten- dance. KVMA Past President Dr. Jason Rodgers and Executive Director Debra Hamelback presented five Kentucky students (pictured below) with their white coats.


Te 127 students were welcomed into the study of veterinary medicine as they received their white coats. Te White Coat Ceremony is held each year for first-year students. During the ceremony, the incoming class is “cloaked” with a white laboratory coat, a traditional symbol of the medical sciences. Trough this ritual, student-veterinarians become more aware of their professional responsibilities. Te ceremony include an alumni address by Rachel DeLoatch, DVM, Class of 2019. 
