Meeting held in Lake Las Vegas, NV, April 29 through May 1. TOCA is a national organization based in New Prague, MN.

Competing among some of the most reputable turfgrass industry marketing companies and publications, Sod Solutions won six First Place Awards, three Merit Awards and a best-in- show Gardner Award. Steve and Suz Trusty, TPI’s Turf News co-editors, returned from the 35th Annual TOCA Meeting with two First Place Awards. One award was in the category Photography, Video, Multimedia - Best use of photography judging three issues of a magazine. Tat First Place went to Turf News—July/August, September/October, November/December 2023. Another First Place was in the category Design - Overall magazine design—printed magazine. Tat award was given for the September/October 2023 issue of Turf News. Te Merit Award was in the category Special Projects - Best coverage in a magazine of an on-site event. Te winner was—TPI 2023 International Convention & Field Day Recap which was published in the Turf News May/June 2023 issue.
Your co-editors would like to especially THANK Jane Tomlinson of Ink Umbrella for putting all the words and pictures together in their award-winning manner. We would also like to Tank the TPI Board, Staff, and Members for all their suggestions, input, and eagle eyes for each issue for these past eleven years. Without everyone’s input and assistance, it would not have been possible for Turf News to have won twenty TOCA Awards over these eleven years.
