THE LAMBORGHINI FESTIVAL SUNDAY : THE FESTIVAL
Sunday was the main event for the Lamborghini Festival which sees north of 20,000 spectators and this year broke its previous attendance record both from spectators and participants. Although the event doesn’t officially start until 3pm, by 12pm Citycentre was filled with spectators even before setup commenced. Activities for Lamborghini owners included a VIP room at Seasons 52 along
with opportunities to participate in very special giveaways which included a pair of custom Lamborghini Festival cufflinks by Proc- lamation Jewelry valued at over $11,000. Activities for the day included a children’s drawing contest, live
music, slot car racing, autograph session by Valentino Balboni and race car driver Dani Clos, giveaways and of course the award cer- emony. Te award ceremony included categories such as Children’s Choice, Women’s Choice, Best Modified, Best Classic and Best of Show. Te awards were presented by founders Jorge Verdejo, Alfonso Zaza, Valentino Balboni, and Mark Frugoni who was the official awards sponsor. For the first time since its creation, the Lamborghini Festival
recognized those Lamborghini owners who have been a strong pillar to the event’s success, whether they have attended every year or have helped shape the event through their support. Te 2016 Official Supporter plaque recipients were: Jody Sweeton, Sotirios
Lamborghini brand ambassador and former chief test driver, Valentino Balboni with Artist Mr. Betirri at
Sunday’s Festival.
