Three-sport senior athlete Corin Davis, who competes in volley- ball, basketball, and track, has experienced both the challenges and triumphs that come with high-level competition—and she embraces them all. But her drive extends well beyond sports. Davis is involved in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eldon, serves on student council, and excels in the classroom. For three years, she has been magna cum laude and earned Academic All-State honors in both vol- leyball and track. She’s also a member of the school’s chamber choir. Davis loves taking part in extracurriculars because they teach her how to be part of something bigger than herself. And when it comes to athletics, she believes success begins with mindset.

Both of Davis’s parents were athletes, her sisters excelled in volleyball through the collegiate level, and her younger brother is already making his mark in multiple sports at Eldon. Davis also gives major credit to her coaches for shaping her into the athlete she is today. “Each one of my high school coaches  what mental toughness is, her basketball coaches made her fall in love with the sport, and her throwing coach has helped her exceed expectations. “Coach Wall has believed in me and supported me from day one. She pushed me to be great at discus, and I am throwing farther than I ever thought I would. She is an amazing coach who has 
