Just teaching all of the life lessons that come with getting to work in a team atmosphere like basketball.”
Having been in the same shoes as her players about a decade ago, Scott said she is grateful to now be a mentor for the next generation of female athletes.
“It’s cool to step into a leadership role and have our girls see someone that looks like them,” Scott said. “They see a female lead- ing other females. I hope they see, okay, I can go do that, I can go be in a leadership position.”
