His parents, both former athletes, have guided him through successes and set- backs, while his younger sister, Ellisyn, follows in the family tradi- tion of basketball and volleyball.


once told him he was too small, too slow, or not strong enough, but those challenges only pushed him to improve. This summer, a knee injury sidelined him and kept him from recruiting opportunities, but he remains motivated.


“The feeling of accomplishing a goal you set for yourself drives me,” he said. “Seeing the results makes all the grind worth it.” According to Rackers, his favorite moment came in a basketball  


“I give all the glory to God. He has blessed me with my talents, but it’s how I choose to use them,” Rackers said. “Sports have taught me to trust the plan God has for me and to lean on my family, who support me through every high and low.” Rackers has also overcome doubts and injuries. “That was a big game for us, and I had one of the best games of my  I felt like nothing could stop me at this moment.” On the court, Rackers has set school records and earned honors  Missouri Media All-District recognition. He is aiming to score his        All-State Team, and help his team win conference and district titles this season.  “I want to set an example for the younger generation of stu-        love,” Rackers said.
