Sunday, June 30, was a bitter-sweet day for the French Camp Presbyte- rian Church family as we met in the Living Stones fellowship hall at 2:00. Since our coming into the ARPC, Alex Coblentz has been our pastor and Mary Nell Coblentz our ministry coordinator. Their 16 years of ministry to the congregation, to the students and staff of French Camp Academy, and to the community-at-large have been a time of great growth and blessing.
sadness and excitement as Alex and Mary Nell make the move to South Carolina. There they will be close to family, espe- cially the grandchildren, and will look for open doors to continue kingdom work. Pray for them as they resettle and for us Blessed be the tie that binds.

Whereas Alex Coblentz faithfully exercised his call to pastor the French Camp Presbyterian Church beginning in July 2008 and ending in June 2024, and
Whereas, as Christ’s under-shepherd, he diligently watched over, fed, and led the French Camp
Whereas he showed great love and concern for the broader church by actively serving on Mississippi Valley Presbytery’ education committee, as Presbytery’s Moderator, as a teacher for
Whereas he focused his time and energy on the needs of others, and
Whereas he showed love to all and special compassion for the downtrodden and hurting, and Whereas he reached out to those in the community with Christian brotherhood and counsel, and
Whereas he recognized and encouraged others to use their gifts for the good and growth of the church, and
Whereas he chose and made music which enhanced our worship, and
Whereas and
Whereas WhereasLiving Stones Building to the glory of God, and
Whereas he trained leaders to have shepherds’ hearts, and Whereas he leaves French Camp Presbyterian Church with health and vitality.
Therefore, we honor Alex Coblentz who, in following his Lord, became a faithful friend
in a new part of God’s vineyard, and we rejoice that their legacy of faith will live on in the hearts of those to whom they ministered in French Camp to the glory of God!
