                  “The high school retreats play a vital role in our ongoing ministry with students. The world presses in on our students every day and their lives often feel noisy and hurried. Luke tells us in his gospel that Jesus “would withdraw to desolate places and pray.” (Luke 5:16) High school retreats provide needed space to get away to hear from God’s Word, worship and pray, fellowship with other Christians, and take a pause from all the noise and hurry. We are so grateful for Bonclarken and their generous hospital- ity to provide space for worship and rest. Our high school students treasure these retreats and are already looking forward to the next one.”     

fantastic retreat! It tackled the topic of spiritual warfare—something we Pres- byterians sometimes downplay due to our emphasis on Total Depravity—with- out going to extremes. Instead, it framed the discussion in light of the Gospel of        the means of grace. It was a wonderful conference in a beautiful setting, offering our students not only rich biblical teach- ing but also a deeper awareness of the con- nectional nature of our Church.”      

The main speaker was grounded in Scripture and made us think deeper about (somewhat frightening) subjects that some high schoolers don’t think about often. He brought out many connections in Scripture that I had never noticed before.”     -
