Serving with a Purpose (a feature article on Central Services)

            Earth….TOGETHER!” First of all, what is ARPC Central Services? Is it core services, shared services, support services, headquarters, or maybe all of the above? Of course, we are not a business, however we have business to do. The business world   For a better understanding of the work of ARPC Central Services, it is worth taking a look at Romans 12, the scripture featured in this monthly theme. Ro- mans 12 has so many pearls of wisdom that parallel the work of the ARPC Of-  • Humility - “not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think” • Well-reasoned/reliable - “to think with sober judgment” • Kingdom-minded - “We have many members and the members do not all have the same function.”


• Denominational Unity - “One body in Christ and individually mem- bers one of another.”


• God-given gifts - “Having gifts that differ.” -


  gifts to serve the greater good of the denomination. How many times growing up have we heard our parents say the following


words: “Anything worth doing is worth doing right.” I know I have… many,  stuck? In reality, not only did they say it to me but they lived it out in front of me.  The heart of the matter is the composition of the team. As described above, the Central Services team strives to exemplify the qualities found in Romans 12. Each member of the team has a very strong work ethic. -


       Currently, seven employees (four full-time and three part-time) directly and


indirectly serve the following: The work of over 20-25 boards and committees


Hosting and facilitating 40-50 meetings (both zoom and in person) per year Serving 254 churches and 495 ministers   gears of Central Services, let me introduce you to the folks on the right. Each one is such a valuable asset to the team! Now you can put a face with a
