There will be several wonderful missionary speakers, a panel discussion of missionaries, and more. Look for more information on this event in the July/August ARP issue! I don’t remember all that they did but they sang a song called “Let’s Get Together.” Spoiler alert, it worked.

As members of the ARP denomi- nation and Women’s Ministries, we should “get together” whenever we can. The article from the Florida Presbyterial in this issue mentions two events which they held to help them “get together.” Most Presbyteri- als have an annual meeting or other events that ladies can attend, and the ARP women have an annual meet- ing in late July. At Synod, there will be a “Women’s Welcome” on Tues- day during registration, a meeting on Wednesday for pastor’s wives, for missionary and church planter’s wives, and Oasis which is a meeting for all women at Synod. In July, at the Family Bible Conference, there will be a Leadership Training event and the Silver Tea on Wednesday after- noon in Synodical Hall (which is for

ous church, we got together periodically to make things for the Bonclarken gift shop. A lady who taught cake decorating at a local community college, taught us how to make peanut brittle (for the gift shop) and how to decorate cakes and cupcakes. We were doing something together and the fellowship was great! At my current church, we have had a bow-making class, line dancing, cupcake  members willing to share their talents. Some churches have book clubs and oth- ers have monthly “Gal Get Togethers” where ladies from the church meet at a local restaurant or go out to eat together after church on Sunday. I used to enjoy helping to get our church “Link” ready for mailing–several of us did this and really got to know each other a lot better. Another group at my church is “Pastor’s Partners.” Volunteers are assigned a shut-in from our congregation and are asked to call, visit, and send a card to that person that month. I have met many of our “more mature” members, and what a joy it is to get together to visit with them! Does your church participate in Operation Christmas Child? Have a box as- sembling party or a packing party! Do your senior members ever get together for a meal or a guest speaker? I was once a “Party Girl” at my church where once a month several ladies would get together to address and write a note and sign a card to church members who had a birthday in the coming month. At Christmas, does your church have a decorating committee to trim trees, hang wreaths, etc.? All of these activities offer opportunities for fellowship! Our pastor recently delivered a sermon in which he suggested that church members should have a 1-1-1 approach to being church members. First, there was corporate worship whether it is in person or by live stream (I always pre- fer in person!). Next, you should become a part of some smaller group at the church (circle, choir, nursery, Bible study, Compassion Ministry, etc.). Third, volunteer (help with church suppers, VBS, nursery, WM board, committees at church, etc.) If you are in a large church, plan an event and invite other churches to par- ticipate. If you are in a small church, ask other churches to join you in planning an event or have an event that is special just to your church.
