A Resolution to Honor Richard Moore


Whereas, Richard Moore was a faithful lifelong member of the Brighton Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and


Whereas, he served the Brighton ARP church as elder, deacon,


congregational chairman, Sunday school teacher, men’s choir member, and Wednesday night youth leader and


Whereas, he showed great love and concern for the broader


church by serving on the Executive Board of Synod, as Modera- tor of Mississippi Valley Presbytery, on the provisional session of the New Geneva Community Church, on the provisional session of the River City Reformed Presbyterian Church, and served on various committees and


Whereas, he and his wife Julia spent many hours visiting other members, witnessing to others, and reaching out to visitors and


Whereas, he spent many hours working on the church facili- ties and


Whereas, his personality, laugh, friendship, and constant pres- ence greeting people at the door was a part of the fabric of the Brighton Church and


Whereas, in conclusion, Richard was always there doing what needed to be done and will be greatly missed and


Be it resolved that the Session of the Brighton ARP Church gives glory to God for the life of Richard Moore and praises God for his life of service to the Church of Jesus Christ!
