When an Association wishes to consider its reserve fund investment strategies, it should always ensure that it has commissioned an up-to-date reserve study.
A reserve study completed by a reserve specialist will help the community to identify the long-term and short-term requirements of the community. The community can implement a funding program when the needs have been adequately identified. Next, the plan should consider how to properly collect and manage monies for the various capital projects that may lay ahead.
