Welcome to our first Business Partners Corner!
It is our honor to serve as Co-Chairs of the Business Partner Council (BPC). The BPC is a grassroots initiative for our Illinois Chapter. Our mission is to enhance and promote the professionalism and dedication of our Business Partners and help create a network of support for each other, our community associations, their management companies, service providers and hired professionals.
The beginning of this exciting journey has been possible because of the eagerness and generosity of our committee members and volunteers sharing their time and success stories. The direction and assistance from Cheryl Murphy, our Illinois Chapter Director, remain invaluable. Most of all, we are grateful to our Business Partners. Thank you for carving the time out of your full and busy schedules in order to participate and enhance the Business Partner Membership.
We hope you have enjoyed our programs thus far and found some useful tips to help grow your business and connections. So far, we have been able to offer sessions to improve Elevator Pitch, Video Voicemail demonstration and utilization, and a Q&A with former property managers - who are now business partners g
their insights how to best partner and support property managers and boards in managing projects. We offered an educational session at

Looking to the future, we are hosting a seminar in December to help Business Partners get ready for the Conference and Expo Tradeshow Experience. Tips for developing your booth along with day of “dos and don’ts” will be shared by guest speaker Neil Schwan, a former developer of tradeshow displays and innovations to help businesses achieve their tradeshow goals.

We will kick off January 2023 by offering the Business Partner Essentials course so Business Partners can earn the Educated Business Partner Distinction and promote their achievement at the annual Conference and Expo in February. The EBP Distinction is earned by the individual business partner. It is not a company distinction. It provides special recognition within the CAI membership that you are a supporter of common interest communities. Stay tuned for details!
An event to address Business Partner burn-out and getting out of a slump is also in the works for 2023.
