AGC Training and Education Platform Expands to Meet Diverse Workforce Needs

o fulfill one of AGC of California’s (AGC) core values to “build your competence,” the AGC Training and Education program is continually evolving and expanding its offerings
to meet construction industry needs. More than 900 individuals accessed more than 60 in-person
and virtual training sessions in the first five months of 2022, furthering their knowledge base on topics ranging from building information modeling and construction accounting to project management and much more. In 2021, over 3,000 total people received training in one or more courses in the program. Tis June, the program vastly expanded both its reach and
breadth of course offerings with the launch of a major new learning platform, the AGC Learning Management System (LMS). Featuring a robust catalogue of nearly 100 courses, the LMS provides trainings for all levels of construction industry employees. Courses are offered virtually and asynchronously, enabling them to be completed at each individual user’s pace. Te new LMS platform, combined with AGC’s ongoing
in-person and virtual training courses, provide increased flexibility and demonstrates AGC’s continued commitment to meet individuals where they are at, according to AGC Training and Education Director Kendra Bilo. “The challenge we saw and addressed was that from a
