Dome Foundation Seeks to Inspire
Dome Construction formed its char- itable arm, the Dome Construction Foundation, with a simple goal in mind: to inspire others to philanthropy. The company wanted to create an atmo- sphere where community development participation is encouraged, and vol- unteering becomes part of everyday life for Dome employees. “Giving back is a vital part of our
corporate culture,” said Dome Construc- tion event & philanthropy coordinator, Michelle Riddle. “To have the greatest impact on our communities, we need to

create an environment that engages as many people as possible. We broaden the impact by encouraging our employ- ees to participate in nonprofit work.” The Dome Construction Foundation offers employees the financial resources to support the organizations that matter most to them by: • Donating to causes they care about in their communities.
• Matching donations that employees make to registered nonprofit organizations.
• Organizing volunteer opportunities
zations by employing their construction expertise to improve their physical fa- cilities. Through their partner charities, they mentor underprivileged youth and provide them with the tools they need for a brighter future. Dome continues to focus on sup-
porting and leading nonprofit organiza- tions that seek to build a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable construction industry, including nonprofits that support women and minorities and workforce development programs. The Dome Construction Foundation main- tains ongoing support for Best Buddies, The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank, LEAP Arts in Education, ICA Christo Ray Academy, and Rebuilding Together. Each year, Dome sponsors a general
build day in which employees volunteer their time to help revitalize commu- nities and help those in need. During the holiday season, Dome teams are brought together to help at food banks and the Toys for Tots program.
