diversity, equity & inclusion
Through the Path to Distinction, Goldfarb aims to model inclusion within the College community and to prepare nurses to drive dramatic progress in health equity. The Goldfarb Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Task Force created a diversity statement, widely shared in the School and approved by the President’s Council and Board of Trustees, that reflects diversity, equity and inclusion as a visible expression of Goldfarb’s values:
“It takes the entire Goldfarb community to be an institution of distinction that prepares nurse leaders to serve diverse populations. We embrace and celebrate our differences with dignity and respect. We must nurture an inclusive environment committed to equity in every form.”
Numerous initiatives will enhance diversity, and likewise, diversity will enhance all strategic initiatives. clear operational structure
Goldfarb will activate the Path to Distinction with accountability, role clarity and widespread participation. To ensure that the initiatives jointly drive progress on the Path to Distinction, Goldfarb will chart and communicate progress regularly. A Goldfarb implementation committee and board strategic goals and objectives committee will provide guidance and oversight.

Strong and mutually supportive partnerships and collaborations unite groups with shared ideals within education, community and research. Thoughtfully developed partnerships will elevate shared goals and improve outcomes for all parties.

With a new financial model that integrates the Path to Distinction finances and ongoing School operations, Goldfarb’s leaders have committed to discipline in planning, operations, reporting and fundraising. Goldfarb will strive to meet financial targets ahead of schedule through stewardship and a newly energized vision for institutional advancement.

Goldfarb will significantly increase external funding and build greater brand awareness through the Path to Distinction. The School is committed to advancement, including communications, strategic development, cultivation of alumni of Goldfarb School of Nursing and each of its legacy schools, new friends and supporters, and outstanding stewardship. As Goldfarb strengthens its local, regional and national reputation, the School will have even more partnership and grant opportunities. And it will recruit highly sought-after students, faculty and staff who accelerate achievement on the Path to Distinction as brand ambassadors.
