Our world critically needs nurses.


We saw nurses rise to the challenge of care during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we see how they provide care, patient advocacy and leadership in hospitals, communities, clinics, schools and all manner of private and governmental organizations. We see them addressing race-based disparities in health outcomes. We see the results of their intellectual curiosity in nursing research and evidence-based care.


We also anticipate a burgeoning need for nurses as our population ages. And as rapid scientific and technological advances change the way care is provided, we know we will continue to need nurses who are critical thinkers, culturally competent and able to apply research to practice.
