Address health disparities in the St. Louis region through community engagement & impact


avoidable disparities


In St. Louis dramatic, avoidable disparities exist in health outcomes for the Black/ African-American population compared with those of the White population. Goldfarb will align, organize and structure support of community engagement and impact across classroom and clinical work and will focus on critical disparities—specifically infant mortality, breast cancer mortality, diabetes blood sugar management, mental health and/or social determinants of health—with particular focus on the health outcomes of the region’s Black/African-American community.
