• Advocate for Goldfarb faculty participation in regional commissions, councils and other groups to ensure inclusion of nursing research voice while expanding Goldfarb scholarly activity.

• Expand student opportunities for research at undergraduate and graduate levels.

• Develop incentives and communicate opportunities to encourage students to apply for pre-doctoral, doctoral and post-doctoral research programs.

• Immediately establish effective grant submission management through a grant management office (GMO) agreement.

• Leverage partnership to assist with publications, study design and format.

• Develop a pilot and feasibility funding program to support obtaining preliminary data and publications for specific NIH grant opportunities.

• Support mentored clinical and translational post-doctoral research awards.

• Provide structure and objective faculty expectations for grant submissions, publications, collaboration and impact using data tracking and program evaluation in collaboration with Office of Institutional Effectiveness.

3.3

Select research cluster opportunities to guide faculty recruitment, internal funding and partnership development to create distinctive research strengths for Goldfarb.

• Establish an External Advisory Committee to perform an annual site review, advise on research workforce development including educational and training initiatives, faculty recruitment and advocacy to increase the visibility of Goldfarb’s research programs at a national level.
