The presence of Filipino communities in American parishes is steadily growing. First-generation Filipinos who immigrated to the United States brought with them religious traditions and customs for different times of the liturgical year. One of them is the celebration of the Simbang Gabi, a novena of Masses in preparation for Christmas. This session will present musical settings of psalms, hymns for the celebration and liturgical and pastoral considerations.
