Reverend Neil Stewart, pastor at Christ Covenant Church in Greensboro, NC, led the evening worship. Rev. Stewart was born and raised in Holywood, County Down, Ireland. He attended Campbell College before studying medicine at Queen’s to become a pediatrician. While at Queens, God opened his heart to entrust his soul to Christ. In 1999, he and his family moved to Jackson, MS, so he could pursue seminary. Since then he has pastored churches in rural Mississippi and Savannah, GA. Rev. Stewart is mar- ried to Catherine, and they have six children. 12:13, “Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.” “The top two priorities in life are to fear God and keep His commandments,” Stewart said. “You can know a lot about God but yet not know enough. If we do not fear God and keep His commandments, then we are missing the point of life. We are existing but not living.” -

is a native of Northern Ireland and earned his MDiv from RTS Charlotte, his Th.M. University in Systematic Theology. He is married to Monica, and they have four boys. Reverend McDowell led four morning worship services. He explained it is important to understand that the book of Revelation is about Jesus Christ. Without a clear vision of Jesus, our discipleship will be wrong. McDowell read Revelation 1:1-11. As C.S. Lewis said, “The Church exists for nothing else but to draw men into Christ,
doing this and making it clear. “We need to turn off the news and open Revelation,” McDowell said. “Who do we say Jesus is?” McDowell asked his listeners to think on the words from the hymn, “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus,” by Helen Howarth Lemmel. “Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in His wonderful face, And the things of earth will grow strangely dim, In the light of His glory and grace.”
