oderator Bill McKay opened the 107th meeting by read- ing 2 Corinthians 4:6-7
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowl- edge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

“We all need training. Sometimes as laypersons, our best may not meet everyone’s standards. but God takes all of our inadequacies, all of humble efforts and uses them for His glory. The chief end of man is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. We are to humbly serve God to His glory and to the best of our abilities. Women’s Ministries’ vision to “Know Jesus Intimately, Love Jesus Faithfully, and Serve Jesus Fruitfully.” It is great to be surrounded by wise and passion- ate women who are capable women We have more impact when we work together and we need to continue to train up younger generations. We need to connect. “Be creative to involve younger la- dies. Things might look different and that is ok. We must strive to glorify God in all we do and use our gifts to further the kingdom,” Powell challenged.
The Four S’s
Betsy Forbes, from Gastonia, NC, met her husband at the age of 15 and they have been married for 27 years. In
