New Amity’s Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church history, and that’s why this is called the present. In this year, of our Lord 2022, we shall go forth in faith. We celebrated our 175th Anniversary for our members and friends of the Amity and New Amity Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, of Scotts, North Carolina, on August 28, 2022. A day, that the Lord has sincerely blessed us with His love and joy. The service of the day began at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. John Kimmons, of Greensboro, North Carolina who

Dr. Earl Linderman and Erskine Seminary Student - Joshua Feimster [a great-grandson of Abner and Isabella Feimster, one of the forefathers of this church]; will assist in the service, also. - ings and Carolyn Hall Sherrill, church historian who shared highlights of the recorded history. Following the sermon; a covered dish luncheon was held in the fellowship hall.
Following the luncheon; a dedication was held of two memorial benches, in the meditation area of New Amity Cemetery. Assisting in the dedication were the 175 years of sharing love with fellow Christians, these memorials are dedicated in honor and memory of the Christian servants that have faithfully served in these two churches.

Nothing can better express what we hope will result from our worship here today–may each need of grace may it be given; in each of our lives and through guidance of God may each need will be meet. We dedicate ourselves anew to worship and service; of the Almighty God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Reminded that everything is in God’s Hands and the future is strong for all members and friends of New Amity. May, knowing Jesus bring you peace to bless you each day; hope for each tomorrow, and joy in every season.
