Alphabetical Guide For Christians From A-Z
Written by my grandfather, Brown Wylie.
V – Value the Bible above all books. It is The Book. It is instructional and can help an- swer our problems or give us a guide to solv- ing them. If followed, it will keep us on the straight and narrow path of life. It is the Word of God and is written for us to gain wisdom.
W – Watch your temper. Be patient so you won’t say the wrong thing. James 5:7, “Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming.”
X – X-ray your thoughts before speaking. Isaiah 55:8-9, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

• Prayer occupied a prominent place and played a very important part in the earthly life of our Lord.
• Prayer is the present ministry of our Lord, since He is now interceding for us.
• Prayer is the means God has appointed for our receiving mercy from Him and help in time of need.
• Prayer is the means of obtaining the fullness of God’s joy.
• Prayer with thanksgiving is the means of obtaining freedom from anxiety and the peace which passes understanding.
• Prayer is the means by which we are to keep watchful and be alert.
• Prayer is used by God to promote our spiritual growth, bring power into our work, lead others to faith in Christ, and bring all other blessings to Christ’s church.

Instructions water and 1 teaspoon of salt in a deep dispos- able 9-by-13-inch aluminum tray. Adjust the burners on a gas grill or arrange the hot coals one side and medium-low on the other side. Place the aluminum tray on the cooler side. Cover and let heat for a few minutes, swirling the butter occasionally until it is all melted and the liquid simmers gently. Transfer the corn to the aluminum tray and turn to coat in the liquid. Keep turning as the liquid reduces to a shiny glaze, 10 to 12 minutes. (You can also cook other foods over the hot side while the corn stays hot in the tray. Once glazed, you can continue to hold the corn in the pan for up to another 30 to 45 minutes, turning it occasional- ly and adding up to 1
/4 cup water as necessary
to prevent the honey and butter from burning.) the corn with the minced green onions and transfer to a serving platter.

Katey’s Korner
Corn is plentiful and it’s everyone’s favorite! Whether you cut off the cob or eat it on the cob, we tend to do the same thing with corn every year. Boil, butter, eat. Try this new recipe and see how your taste corn best. I met a farmer from NC and he told me the yellow corn was for the animals and the white was for people! I love both colors and the mixed but the white seems a little sweeter! ENJOY!
