MEMORIAL
Elizabeth Trammel Traylo (Beth) April 12, 1941 – January 27, 2021
Born in Clinton, South Carolina, to the late Claude R. Trammell
degree from Winthrop College and was a paralegal for Duke Power in Charlotte, North Carolina. While working for Duke Power, she met and married Frank W. Traylor of Blackstock, South Carolina. Frank and Beth bought a house in the Cornwell Community of Chester County, where they enjoyed time with friends playing and listening to music.
Beth joined Hopewell Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church on June 25, 2000. Immediately upon joining Hopewell, she became active in the work of the Church, and she was always willing to help in any capacity. When Hopewell lost their organist because of de- clining health, she began to use her God-given talent of music as the church organist. Beth served as music director for the annual VBS, played for funerals, served as musician in the early years of our Psalm Sings, taught music, and wherever there was a need, she was there to help. Beth developed a great love for the Bible Songs and took great delight in playing the favorite Bible Song of the various members of the congregation. Perhaps her favorite tune was Bible Songs number 188 – “Under His Wings.” In the Fall of 2020, Beth moved to Walterboro, South Carolina. Following a knee replacement, Beth contracted and died from Co- vid 19 after a long battle with the virus. The Session of Hopewell Associate Reformed Presbyterian
Church pauses to give thanks to Almighty God for His servant Eliz- abeth Trammell Traylor in the sure and certain hope of the resurrec- tion of Jesus Christ.
“Under His Wings” Bible Songs - number 188 – 1st stanza
“Under the care of my God, the Almighty, Safe in the secret place of the Most High! He is my refuge, the Lord is my fortress, Him I am trusting when trouble is nigh.”
Edward H. Mills Clerk of the Session Hopewell Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church Blackstock, South Carolina
