Winter can sometimes be dull and depressing. Here are five fun ways to brighten anyone’s day:
1. Kindness counts Do you know how good it feels when someone gives you a thoughtful compliment or an encouraging word? Try to remember to give as many of these as you can. Whether it’s telling a friend how special they are or thanking your mom for a delicious meal, a kind word can make anyone’s day!
2. Cozy Comfort Fix a warm cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa for your mom or dad. (You may want to check with them to make sure it’s okay beforehand.) Let them relax for a few minutes with their drink.
3. Helping Hands Find a way to help someone! Search your house for somebody to help. Help your mom fold laundry. Help a neighbor with their groceries. Help your brother with his homework. You’ll be sure to bring a smile.
4. Bible promises Jot down your favorite Bible verses on slips of paper. Put them in places you know people will find them, such as in a drawer, under a pillow, or in a shoe. You’ll bright- en anyone’s day.
5. Neighborly love Find out about anyone in your church who is going through a challenging time. See if you can send them a
card, give them a call, or pay them a visit.
