A House in Order

STEVE NICHOLS

Director of Gift Planning ARP Foundation

What is Denomina-on Ministry Fund?

Most ARP churches voluntarily donate a percentage of their general giving to the Denomina:onal Ministry Fund (DMF). Every year, the Board of Stewardship carefully considers each budget component and recommends alloca:on of funds to Synod for approval. Percentages are based on the considered best use of funds to serve the Denomina:on’s churches and their members through our agencies, boards and commiFee work. Every DMF dollar is cri:cal to each agency budget and leveraged many :mes over to deliver services, provide facili:es and afford specialized professional exper:se not otherwise available to the local church.

We will start a magazine series to highlight each piece of the pie to share how these funds are being used to change lives and to bring people to Christ and strengthen their faith. Please pray for each piece of the pie and how they come together to serve Christ and the ARPC denomina:on now and into the future.

As a couple, they did go on to complete an update and redo their important documents, and they are happy about taking the time and effort to get it done.

General Synod ARP Church Board of Stewardship Approved DM Allocation

2019 Denominational Ministry Allocation

We are now in the year 2020, and it is more appropriate than ever to sharpen our fo-

cus on matters of importance that might have been put aside -- especially those matters that impact the people and ministries we love most. Intent is a good thing, but actually getting it done is the

key should the unexpected suddenly occur. Make sure that these seven documents exist and that people you trust with your personal affairs know where to find them. They are:

• An up-to-date will or trust and letter of instructions • A list of insurance policies owned, with benefits, special provisions

• A simple list of investments • A list of assets and liabilities • A letter of general information • A secure list of personal data: passwords, bank accounts, safe combinations
