Randy Helm who developed and super- vises the Wild Horse Inmate Program for Arizona State Prison has been instrumen- tal in bringing this program to the mass- es. How is Randy affiliated with Mustang of America Foundation? Describe Randy Helm and your relationship with Randy?

The Mustangs of America Foundation has part- nered with Randy Helm to bring education and awareness to the public about our training pro- grams and how they affect the lives of inmates and mustangs. We believe that these programs are important for giving second chances to men that started out on the wrong foot and provide homes for mustangs and burros.

Lynda Sanford, with many Mustang foun- dations out there, why should our read- ers support/make a donation to Mustang of America Foundation? What is the end goal?

We rely on public donations for our programs. There are many things that the government does not supply such as infrastructure, tack, helmets, boots and jeans. Our newest project is to build a much-needed cover for the arena at the Arizona program with a cost of $80,000. The cover will allow more training time during the hot monsoon months of Arizona. We know that trained mustangs and burros have a bet- ter chance of getting adopted. Eventually, we would like to start another inmate program in the eastern part of the United States.

The end goal is to find homes for as many mus- tangs and burros as we can to relieve the tax burden on taxpayers and give new opportuni- ties and purpose to men that thought they had none.
