Heirloom Tradition Paints by BY MIRIAM LUCERO with creative director PAULA BLANKENSHIP

product? I’m a Commercial Interior Designer and prod- uct designer. I just received my first US PAT- ENT for a travel product I designed, www. sleepupright.com

P How long has the product been

available? Since 2003, and continues to gain new inter- est every day.

Where can our readers find Heir-

loom Tradition Paints? www.htpaint.com Camping World has our paint FINISH-ALL PAINT nationwide. www. doitbest.com stores stock the ALL-IN-ONE PAINT as well as Amazon Prime for all of our products.

Yes, I am the Creative Director and the cre- ator of the product line. I developed the prod- uct line in my kitchen in 2012. My teenage son, Braden, was my only helper and he and I would package and ship all the orders daily, after he was out of school.

How many paint products do you

offer? We have 2 lines: www.allinonepaint.com and www.finishallpaint.com as well as a unique new product called BOND-N-FLEX that will repair torn, damaged leather and vinyl that this group might like to know about. We have a total of 10 individual products in a variety of color options.

How do you apply the products? We suggest using our Syntec Brush then stip- pling the wet paint using our True Applicator, to get the best, professional looking results that are brush stroke free.

Would you share some of the projects you have restored?

aula Blankenship, you’re the Creative Director of Heirloom Tradition Paints. How did you develop this

There are thousands of then, customers have done, showing their results. We have lots of images! How about a camper we just did using FINISH-ALL PAINT: https://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=BERnHg6D_wc

What temperatures do you recom-

mend to paint in? HTP we recommend between 65-78 degrees.

Paula Blankenship, I have a Baby/ Child Rocking Chair about 50 years old. I’d like to restore it with Heir- loom Tradition Paints, somewhere in the grey colors. I live in Arizo- na, the process may be different. Would you walk me thru the pro- cess, from the beginning and to

the end results? The process is rather simple. First step is to clean the surface using our deglosser/ degreaser, to ensure the surface is clean of any grease or build up. Next, stir the paint well, (2 min. with a stir stick) Brush on the paint, then while paint is wet, use the True Ap- plicator to stipple the wet paint. (lightly tap the wet painted surface with the sponge, pro- ducing a light texture) This texture will dry out of the paint, once it shrinks down to the piece. Allow paint to dry to the tough. Apply a sec- ond coat. You are done! No topcoat, sealers or waxes needed. You can paint your interior and exterior projects using both of our paint lines. You can paint leather, vinyl and smooth fabrics, in addition to any other hard surface using FINISH-ALL-PAINT. There is a stretch component in the paint that allows it to give and bend without cracking. It is incredible. I have many images I can share with you.
